A Trust named Climate Action & Sustainability Hub was formally launched through the signing of a Trust Deed on Thursday, the 27th of March 2025 at the Dhaka office of the Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh (PRI) marking a significant institutional comprehensive approach towards dealing with sustainability and climate related matters faced by macro and micro institutions in Bangladesh. This initiative, a collaboration between PRI Bangladesh, the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER) at BRAC University, and Sharp Consulting Bangladesh Limited, aims to promote sustainability through comprehensive research, target actions, validations, policy advocacy, and capacity-building. The Hub will also focus on sustainability reporting, sustainability assurance, ESG best practices aligned with global frameworks and national policies, green and climate finance initiatives. Additionally, this Hub will foster inter-agency collaboration, offer certification programmes, and provide related consultancy towards government and international stakeholders. The Trust Deed was signed by its initial Trustees Dr. Zaidi Sattar and Dr. Bazlul Haque Khondker from PRI Bangladesh, Dr. Ainun Nishat and Ms. Roufa Khanum from C3ER at BRAC University, Mr. Al Maruf Khan, FCA, and Ambassador Kazi Imtiaz Hossain from Sharp Consulting Bangladesh Limited, and the former Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh Mr. Zakir Ahmed Khan.  This milestone underscores a shared commitment to advancing sustainable development and climate actions in Bangladesh.
